Web Application 2026

Musicify — Visual Music Universe

Musicify is a music discovery web application built on a single idea: searching for music should feel like stepping inside that music. When you search a song, artist, or album, a real-time theme engine restyles the entire experience — typography, color palette, textures, and motion — according to the track's genre, release decade, and mood. The engine maps 15 genres, eight decades, and 13 moods to distinct visual profiles, so a jazz standard, a 1980s synth-pop hit, and a melancholic modern ballad each render their own cinematic atmosphere. Search merges the iTunes Search API and MusicBrainz with a bundled demo catalog, de-duplicates results, and ranks them by confidence, degrading gracefully to full offline mode when external APIs are unreachable. The home page shows a region-aware Trending Now chart pulled from Apple Music with client-side geo detection, while track pages display album artwork, metadata, and streaming links across Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Deezer, Anghami, SoundCloud, MusicBrainz, Wikipedia, and Genius — plus synchronized lyrics via lrclib and an iTunes audio preview. Favorites are stored entirely in the browser with no account required. Dynamic Open Graph images are generated server-side for every song, genre, era, and mood, alongside a full sitemap and robots rules. Built with Next.js 16 App Router, React 19, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS v4, and Motion, the site is responsive, accessible, and works fully offline via its demo catalog.
