The backend runs Express 5 with MongoDB, featuring Argon2 password hashing, TOTP two-factor authentication, cookie-based sessions, and granular role-based access control. Key features include: AI-powered Q&A assistant for company policies, airport search with intelligent chatbot, employee attendance tracking with clock-in/out, automatic lead distribution, encrypted daily backups via node-cron, append-only audit and security logs, Excel data import from legacy systems, a calendar view for scheduling, and a comprehensive dashboard with real-time analytics charts. The system supports multiple employee roles (CEO, admin, employee) with object-level ownership and permission boundaries.
